Sasha Reschechtko

Hello, my name is Sasha Reschechtko and this is my website.

I am a Ph.D. Candidate in the Department of Kinesiology at The Pennsylvania State University, where I have been a graduate student since Fall of 2013. My faculty advisor is Mark L. Latash. I study the neural control of movement and frequently carry out human subjects experiments using the hand as a model system through which to understand the neural organization of coordination strategies to effectively perform intentional actions. I am particularly interested in sensory perception and the the extent to which intentional actions are carried out by spinal and peripheral nervous tissue.

I also have a bachelor's degree in Philosophy from The University of Chicago, where I focused on Philosophy of Mind and Philosophy of Language. In both philosophy and neuroscience, I am interested in the means by which intentions to act (speak, move, etc.) become any particular action.

I intend to update this website with more academic information. Until then, feel free to keep up with my Google Scholar profile for a picture of what I have been up to according to journals.
